Sorima takes us to Asturias, one of her favorite places to disconnect from the hectic fashion world.
Sorima, @sorimanaves, one of the protagonists of our spring-summer 2019 campaign, takes us to the north of Spain, more specifically to Asturias, one of her favorite places.
Model, publicist, and public relations manager, Sori, as she is sometimes called, although due to the atypical nature of her name she has had many nicknames throughout her life type: "Soraima", "Surula" and even "Doraimon", is passionate about travel, noir novel books, suspense series, volleyball, and fashion. She also loves cooking and inventing new recipes, as well as bringing out her hostess side with her friends, organizing board game competitions or fancy dress parties, although she admits to being a bad loser sometimes.
"Enjoy" like no one else, your perfect plan may be to share an afternoon with friends, discover new sunsets and accompany them with a nice glass of white wine.
This is precisely what she finds in Asturias.
Sorima Naves reveals her favorite place
Place: In Asturias. It´s name is Bañugues.
Location: It is located in the council of Gozón, in the Principality of Asturias.
How to get there: It is located near a town called Luanco, and a little further away is Candas.
What to do: It´s a place to relax and enjoy its nature, people, spectacular cheesecake, wild beaches, its summer parties in the "praos" (meadow) and the authenticity of the environment.
Its pure air, its green landscapes and the closeness and friendliness of the people is incredible.
Where to sleep: There are a couple of hotels and a famous campsite that fills up every summer. There is also the option to stay in Luanco, which is only 3 km away.
Where to eat: "Casa Pelaez" and its spectacular cheesecake that I consider the best in the world… and I can assure you that there are not many that I haven´t tried.
For the surrounding villages there are a few restaurants that I love: "La Fustariega", "Casa Oliva" and of course "Casa Maravillas".
In Luanco I would recommend La Marina y las Delicias. Despite a higher price, I would also recommend "El Guernica" without a doubt.
And a nearby place with a lot of charm, “La Quintana de Manuela”.
Tips: I could give you an infinite number of tips, but we are going straight to the relevant ones: you can´t miss a visit to Cabo Peñas; a walk along its paths, a dip in its waters that are not made for those who feel the cold, and a good "sidrina" (cider) in any bar.
What must you have in your suitcase: my set of facial creams, my mobile phone charger and my flannel pajamas since I am very cool.
Souvenirs / shopping: It is not a place where you want to go and buy clothes, or perfumes, or anything superficial. Not even a magnet for the fridge as a souvenir. For me it's a place where you forget all that.
The best memory you can take away is a photo with the views and the experience of being there. It seems a bit cliché but it is not at all.
Perhaps, as essential purchases, I would recommend a wedge of cheese, good meat from the best butcher's shop ("Garcia") and some "marañuelas" (a type of typical biscuits) from "Manzano".
What do you like most about Kimoa: Its freshness, the diversity of its colors. That youthful and carefree air that marks its entire line.
Your favorite piece of Kimoa: I would not know whether to opt for their hats or sweatshirts. I love them both!
