Iñaki Mira Ricón, Kimoa Braver, takes us to the top of the mountain with Kimoa LAB.
Iñaki Mira Rincón, although born in Motril (a well-known maritime town in the province of Granada) works in Sierra Nevada as an alpine ski teacher, that is also one of his main passions.
He is also a lover of nature and the mountains for all that these places transmit to him, as well as the world of motoring, surfing and discovering new places.
How do you approach the universe of skiing?
I started quite late when I was 17 years old when my father had the idea of taking me skiing since I had never tried it and extreme sports have always caught my attention. From that day on I fell in love with skiing, the adrenaline, and the freedom that I feel every time I put the skis under my feet. From then on, I spent a season working, saving money in order to train as a TD1 (level 1 sports technician) in alpine skiing. I managed to finish my training and join the school where I currently work. A year later, I decided to continue training professionally as a TD2 alpine skier.
What is the best thing about your job?
The best thing about my job is seeing the progress of my students. Day by day I see how they reconsider and want to improve their technique to have a great time at the same time. I like to see them enjoy skiing and admire the mountains as I do. So, I know they take a good memory home.
What would you like to achieve in the future in the world of skiing?
In the future I would like to continue training professionally and thus be able to dedicate myself to coaching high-performance sports clubs, although I think I still have a long way to go and a lot to learn. Even so, I do not refuse any opportunity that allows me to learn and improve as a professional.
What do you think of our LAB goggles and sunglasses?
