BRAVERS: NEREA DONAIRE

BRAVERS: NEREA DONAIRE
2019-08-06

We met with Nerea Donaire (@nereadonaire) through one of the best talent scouts, Instagram.

Its freshness, sportsmanship, and images on the beaches that we long for on the other side of the screen made us imagine linking it to our family of sporting Bravers.

So, there’s no one better than Nerea to tell you more about herself.

The Future of Asturian surfing, Nerea Donaire

YOUR ORIGINS: I was born in Gijón, the city where I live, I am 16 years old and I’m starting my 2nd year of high school.

WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES:

My passion is surfing, a sport that I’ve practiced since I was very little when I saw my father and brother do it.

I love the connection with nature that it brings me.

I train almost every day and have been competing at national and European level for some years where I have achieved good results.

WHAT INSPIRE YOU ON SOCIAL MEDIA:

I usually share material from my sports results, surfing photos, showing the products of the brands that sponsor me and stories of specific moments that I find interesting.

I love marketing, design and advertising.

The pity is that I do not have the necessary time to dedicate towards it through my networks, although I do not want to overwhelm myself with it anyway.

WHY DO YOU LIKE KIMOA:

I love Kimoa because it is a young and stylish brand in all its products.

The brand knew her being similar to the main ambassador Fernando Alonso, a huge athlete and Asturian like me.

In addition, all the products seem great to me, but my favorites are the glasses and the caps, with a very surfer look, so it is what I use most.

Precisely in the championships, the children used to ask me for a Kimoa cap that I had until I ended up losing it, I think it was in Berria.

WHAT IT MEANS TO BE PART OF THE KIMOA BRAVERS FAMILY

It´s a great pride because you are a brand that bet on me from the beginning and you have a great future ahead.

FUTURE PROJECTS

At the moment I am trying to get a good result in the pro-junior of Hossegor / Capbreton (France) of the World Surf League that allows me to compete in the last test of the circuit in the Azores islands that will be held in September.

I am currently in the 15th position among the 50 best junior European surfers (under 18s).
